Location and Type of Facility:
Seven Locations-Southway Center in Muncie, CHS Pediatric Center in Muncie,
Central Indiana Orthopedics in Muncie, Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie,
Blackford Community Hospital in City, Vormohr Medical Center in Portland,
Fidler Memorial Medical Pavilion in Winchester, CHS Health and Diagnostic
Center of Upland, CHS Health and Diagnostic Center of Marion, and Hillcrest
Center in DeMotte. Provides rehabilitation services in outpatient clinics,
nursing homes, industrial/work settings, private residences, hospitals,
and schools.
Types of OT Programs or Services provided:
Hand Therapy, ASTYM AdvantEDGE Augmented soft tissue mobilization, Wheelchair
Clinic, Lymphedema Clinic, and `driving evaluations.
Innovative and Creative Intervention Provided:
Aquatic therapy, amputee clinic, Sensory Integration (SIPT) based treatment,
and canine assisted therapy.
Relationship with University of Indianapolis School of Occupational
Therapy Students:
University of Indianapolis students are always highly prepared to become
acclimated to the pace and reality of hospital based care. It is a pleasure
to have a relationship with the University of Indianapolis School of Occupational
Therapy program. The students teach us as much as we teach them.
