Where can I complete my fieldwork?
Clinical fieldwork requirements include fieldwork experiences in diverse practice settings to allow practical application of occupational therapy theories and development of practice skills. UIndy has over 300 contracts with various fieldwork sites in over 25 states, so students have a wide variety of locations and types of fieldwork experience from which to choose their fieldwork placements. Types of fieldwork settings include, but are not limited to:
Hospitals, Rehabilitation Facilities, Out Patient Clinics
School Systems and Early Intervention for Children
Extended Care Facilities, Day Care Centers, and Assisted Living Facilities
Industrial Sites and Private Practice
Community-based practice and nontraditional settings
Home Health Care
Mental Health Facilities
Wellness and fitness centers
Behavioral health hospitals and units
Specialized sites offering hippotherapy, aquatic therapy, and sensory integration
